The City Boy Movement, Gombe State Chapter, has successfully secured 100 employment slots for youths in collaboration with the Nigerian Forest Security Service, a development aimed at promoting youth empowerment and strengthening the protection of national forest reserves.
The announcement was made by Dunijir Gatama, State Coordinator of the Movement, following a consultative meeting with the Commander-General of the Nigerian Forest Security Service. According to Gatama, the initiative is designed to integrate young people into the professional workforce while contributing to national security through enhanced forest protection.
“This is a milestone in our ongoing efforts to create meaningful opportunities for youths in Gombe State,” Gatama said. “It reflects our commitment to structured youth engagement and building a progressive, security-conscious society.”
Gatama added that the implementation of the initiative would be carried out in close collaboration with the Gombe State Director of the Movement, Mubarak Hamisu Usman, to ensure transparency, fairness, and efficiency throughout the exercise.
The State Coordinator emphasized that the positions would be allocated strictly on merit. “Only capable, disciplined, and dedicated individuals with a strong commitment to public service will be considered,” he said.
Details regarding the application process and the distribution of forms will be shared through the Movement’s official channels in due course.
The initiative is expected to provide structured employment opportunities for young people in Gombe State while supporting the Nigerian Forest Security Service in safeguarding the nation’s forest reserves.
