Enugu, Nigeria – The APC National Woman Leader, Dr. Mary Idele, has praised the good governance and people-focused leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting his remarkable impact on Nigerian women since assuming office.
Speaking at the APC Enugu State Women Conference 2025, Dr. Idele highlighted that women across the country have benefited from President Tinubu’s inclusive policies, which have enhanced opportunities and strengthened their role in national development. In a statement signed by Dr. Cynthia Agbo, Media Lead of the APC Enugu State Women Wing, the women commended President Tinubu for implementing empowerment initiatives that have opened doors for women in politics, business, and leadership.
In a major highlight of the event, Dr. Idele led APC women stakeholders to officially endorse President Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election, declaring unanimously: “No Vacancy in Aso Rock!” The endorsement was greeted with overwhelming enthusiasm by women leaders, grassroots mobilizers, and party faithful, who described it as a vote of confidence in Tinubu’s administration.
The conference also witnessed the inauguration of Senior Citizens within the APC as well as the official launch of the APC Enugu State Women Wing, both initiatives designed to deepen grassroots mobilization and inclusive participation. These structures are expected to strengthen political awareness at the community level and give women a stronger platform to contribute to governance.
Adding to the significance of the gathering, speakers emphasized the importance of unity among women across Nigeria. They called on women to sustain their support for President Tinubu’s reforms, noting that women’s voices remain critical in shaping Nigeria’s democracy and future.
Reaffirming her commitment, Dr. Idele stressed that Nigerian women will remain at the forefront of politics, governance, and nation-building under the APC-led government. She assured that her office would continue to prioritize women’s empowerment, leadership training, and inclusive participation in decision-making at all levels.
