In a strong show of solidarity and commendation, the National Association of Nigeria Colleges of Education Students (NANCES) has officially passed a Vote of Confidence on the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande,citing his exceptional leadership and unwvering commitment to youth engagement across the country.
The decision was reached during a Senate Sitting of NANCES following a critical review of the Minister’s performance and impact in office.
In a joint press statement signed by Comrade Eegunjobi Samuel Oluwaseun, NANCES President, and Sen. Kur Isaac Ushahemba, Senate President, the association lauded Hon. Olawande for his “dedication to youth empowerment, open engagement with student unions, and bold, people-focused policies addressing the realities faced by Nigerian youth.”
“The Minister’s hands-on approach, responsiveness, and passionate involvement in youth development have not only energized the Ministry but also redefined its relationship with students nationwide,” the statement noted.
NANCES praised Hon. Olawande for repositioning the Ministry as a responsive and student-inclusive institution, further recognizing his efforts in amplifying student voices in national policymaking.
The association reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Honourable Minister’s leadership and encouraged him to stay the course in advancing policies that promote youth participation, skills development, and educational transformation.
