Qur'an Memorization Ceremony: Hon. Muhammad Magaji Gettado Donates 500,000 Naira

GOMBE, Nigeria – Honourable Muhammad Magaji Gettado, accompanied by his delegation, participated in the Qur'an Memorization Ceremony on Sunday, January 5, 2024. The event, held at Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi School in Bappah Ibrahima and Malam Modibbo Chilo Islamic School in Bundu Wailaru, Gombe, also included a seminar organized by the Fityanul Islam Association at Gombe State University auditorium.

In a press statement shared with Inclusive Reporters by Bashir Sulaiman Garkuwa, Media Aide to Hon. Gettado, the lawmaker expressed admiration for the 23 students from Bappah Ibrahima who successfully memorized the Holy Qur'an. He commended the parents for their dedication and support and acknowledged the efforts of the teachers in delivering quality education.

The ceremony featured 23 Qur'an memorizers from Bappah Ibrahima and 17 from Malam Modibbo Chilo School. Distinguished guests at the event included Sheikh Waliy Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, Khalifah Shehu Ibrahim Gadawo, and Sayyada Amina Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi. The seminar was attended by Alhaji Bashir Ladan, Gombe State Chairman of the Fityanul Islam Association, along with other dignitaries and thousands of attendees from across the region.
As part of his contribution, Hon. Gettado awarded cash gifts to each Qur'an memorizer and donated 100,000 Naira to the Fityanul Islam Association to assist with hosting expenses. In his remarks, he prayed for the safe return of all attendees to their homes.
