In a major move to strengthen the grassroots support base for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and to promote the welfare, inclusion, empowerment and employment of PWDs, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon. Abba Isah, and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, North-East, Hon. Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba, have held a strategic engagement with the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Delu Bulus Yakubu.
The high-level meeting, which brought together key drivers of the Renewed Hope Agenda in the North-East, was centred on one clear goal — building a more inclusive, united and formidable political structure ahead of 2027 and to promote the welfare, inclusion, empowerment, employment and political participation of PWDs.
According to the team, the engagement focused on deepening grassroots mobilization and ensuring that government interventions and political participation reach every segment of society, especially at the community level.
A major highlight of the discussion was the collective resolve to ensure that no one is left behind, particularly Persons with Disabilities, women, youth and other vulnerable groups, in line with President Tinubu’s commitment to inclusive governance.
The SSAPs noted that sustaining the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda requires continuous dialogue, stronger community linkages and a people-centred approach to governance and political engagement.
They emphasized that Team North-East remains fully committed and loyal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and will continue to work tirelessly to consolidate support across the region.
The task ahead, they concluded, is clear: deepen engagement, strengthen participation, and keep the people at the centre of the conversation as the journey to 2027 gathers momentum.
