The Chairman of the Kebbi State Disability Commission, Hon. Anas Malami Gwandu, has congratulated the People with Disabilities (PWDs) community in Gombe State on the signing of the Disability Bill into law by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
In his congratulatory message, Hon. Gwandu described the signing as a historic milestone that highlights Governor Yahaya’s commitment to inclusivity, equality, and the rights of persons with disabilities.
“This achievement is a monumental step toward ensuring the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities in Gombe State. I commend His Excellency for his visionary leadership and dedication to the PWD community. This law will undoubtedly lead to a more inclusive and equitable future for all,” Hon. Gwandu stated.
He also extended his congratulations to Dr. Isyaku Adamu on his appointment as the pioneer Executive Secretary of the Gombe State Disability Commission. Hon. Gwandu expressed confidence in Dr. Adamu’s ability to lead the effective implementation of the law, citing his wealth of experience, dedication, and passion for advocacy.
Hon. Gwandu reaffirmed the Kebbi State Disability Commission’s commitment to collaborating with other states and sharing best practices to promote the empowerment and inclusion of persons with disabilities across Nigeria.
“Congratulations once again to the PWD community of Gombe State. May this be the beginning of many more milestones and achievements,” he concluded.
