Chairman, Kebbi State Disability Commission Congratulates Yobe State Disability Community on Landmark Disability Act

Congratulate Alhaji Usman Bura Gabai on his appointment as Acting Chairman.

The Chairman of the Kebbi State Disability Commission, Anas Malami Gwandu, has expressed heartfelt congratulations to the disability community in Yobe State following the signing of the Disability Bill into law by Governor Mai Mala Buni. He described the development as a historic milestone in promoting inclusivity, equity, and respect for the rights of persons with disabilities.

In his statement, Gwandu applauded the Yobe State Government's dedication to fostering a society where individuals of all abilities can thrive and contribute meaningfully. He emphasized the importance of the new law in safeguarding the rights of persons with disabilities and enhancing their access to opportunities.

Gwandu lauded Governor Mai Mala Buni for his visionary leadership in addressing the challenges faced by persons with disabilities and commended the Yobe State House of Assembly for their proactive legislative efforts. He acknowledged their role in creating a framework that will promote active participation and social inclusion.

“This law will undoubtedly transform lives by reducing barriers, creating opportunities, and ensuring that persons with disabilities are included in societal development,” Gwandu stated. He called on stakeholders to sustain the momentum and ensure the effective implementation of the legislation.

The chairman also highlighted the importance of inter-state collaboration in championing the rights of persons with disabilities nationwide. He reaffirmed Kebbi State Disability Commission’s commitment to supporting initiatives that uphold dignity and inclusivity across Nigeria.

Additionally, Gwandu extended congratulations to Usman Bra on his appointment as Chairman of the Yobe State Disability Commission. He expressed confidence in Bra’s ability to lead efforts in implementing the new law effectively and advancing the welfare of persons with disabilities in Yobe State.
