The Nigerian National Association of the Deaf, (Youth Section) had successfully concluded it's 3rd National Deaf Youth Summit on 20th September, 2023 with a collaborative effort between the Youth Section of the Nigeria National Association of the Deaf (NNAD) and the Anambra State Association of the Deaf (ANSAD) at Prof Kenneth Dike Centre State E-Library, Awka, Anambra State.
In a statement signed by the National Youth Leader, Amb. Ebuka Okeke and made available to Inclusive Reporters, Ambr Ebuka expressed gratitude to all the Nigerian Deaf Youth who traveled from different parts of the country to grace the Summit.
"Your active participation in the event reflects your commitment to advancing the human rights of Nigerian Deaf Youths.
I also extend heartfelt appreciation, on behalf of all Nigerian Deaf Youth, to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), the Voice of Disability Initiative (VDI), and the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for their continued support"
"I look forward to the 4th Summit next year, as we aspire to enhance our efforts based on the valuable lessons learned. Our goal is to attract an even larger number of Nigerian Deaf Youths, empower them with leadership skills and create an even more memorable event. We believe this is an achievable aspiration" He concluded.
The Youth Leader of Anambra State Association of the Deaf, Comrade Gozie Aghauche, while thanking delegates and participants on behalf of the Anambra State Association of the Deaf, prayed for each and everyone to have a safety journey back to their respective destination at the end of the programs.
