In a bid to boost the economic status of its citizens, the Gombe State Government has distributed business-oriented items to over 40 beneficiaries in Kaltungo Local Government Area. The items, which include sewing and grinding machines, fertilizers, and insecticides, are aimed at empowering the beneficiaries to start their own businesses.
Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Secretary to the Gombe State Government, presented the items on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya. While distributing the items, Professor Njodi urged the beneficiaries to make maximum use of the materials, emphasizing that proper utilization would bring relief and minimize poverty in their lives and those of their families.

The Gombe State Government, in collaboration with NG-CARES, aims to boost the economy through individual empowerment. This initiative is part of the present administration's efforts to provide massive infrastructural development across the state and improve the living standards of its citizens.

Beneficiaries of the program, including Mr. Samuel Peto Lantarki and Maryam Ahmed, expressed gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and NG-CARES for providing them with the necessary tools to start their businesses. They assured that the materials and funds would be utilized judiciously to improve their living conditions.

In addition to the items distributed, 20 other persons received N40,000 each to start businesses of their choice. This empowerment program is a testament to the Gombe State Government's commitment to the welfare and economic development of its citizens.
