In a heartfelt letter dated October 23, 2024, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi, CFR, FNSE, Shehu of Borno, expressed deep appreciation to Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, founder of the Queen Adenike Tejuosho Foundation. The letter acknowledges the foundation’s compassionate support and timely assistance to the people of Maiduguri, who were heavily affected by recent floods.

Titled "Letter of Appreciation During Our Flood Disaster," the letter, addressed to Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, reads in part:
"I wish, on behalf of myself, the Borno Emirate Council, and the entire people of my Emirate, to extend our most sincere appreciation to you for your visit to sympathize with us during our trying moments and for your kind support and contributions.
We want to recognize and sincerely thank you for your kindness and generosity. Your efforts made a tangible difference in the lives of those affected, helping to provide food, shelter, and hope during a difficult period. It is through the collective resolve of our community that we have begun the process of recovery and rebuilding."
The Emir concluded by praising the foundation's commitment, describing its efforts as a “true testament to human resilience and compassion” and offering prayers for continued blessings and unity.
