Chairman Kebbi State Commission for Persons with Disabilities, Anas Malami Gwandu express appreciation to the state's Executive Governor for his acts of kindness and support towards Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the State.

The Chairman, Kebbi State Commission for Persons with Disabilities, Anas Malami Gwandu has expressed his appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kebbi State Dr. Nasir Idris for his acts of kindness toward Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the state. Gwandu highlighted the governor's commitment to improving the lives of PWDs through various supportive initiatives and policies. He acknowledged the governor's efforts in promoting inclusivity and ensuring that PWDs are not left behind in the state's development programs.

The chairman's statement was a gesture of gratitude for the governor for provision of a brand-new motorcycle and a job appointment to one of the member of kebbi PWDs Community Mr ABDULHAKIM Abubakar Suru, a students of Federal University Birnin Kebbi during the university's convocation ceremony. 

"On behalf of the Commission for Persons with Disabilities and the entire community of persons with disabilities in Kebbi State, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Dr. Nasir Idris, for his remarkable act of kindness and inclusivity. 

Your Excellency's provision of a brand-new motorcycle and a job appointment to one of our members during the Federal University Birnin Kebbi convocation is a testament to your unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged and ensuring that no one is left behind"

Daily Trust Reports that the
Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris extended a hand of compassion to ABDULHAKIM Abubakar Suru, a student with special needs, by presenting him with a brand-new motorcycle during a maiden Convocation of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK)  where ABDULHAKIM who before now, relied on a wheelchair for mobility, is undergoing a degree course.


The Kebbi State Government has also pledged to employ him as a teacher, in  recognition of his qualification as holder of the National Certificate on Education, NCE.

Mr ABDULHAKIM is presently pursuing a B.Sc. in Education, IR learnt. 

"We remain confident that under your leadership, Kebbi State will continue to lead in fostering a truly inclusive society" Gwandu added.
