For the past few months after the suspension of Dr Betta Edu, the Ministry of humanitarian affairs and poverty alleviation is yet to have a minister which put on hold to many poverty alleviating programs. Different pressure groups, civil society organizations, activists, disabled and concerned Nigerians have been calling on President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prioritize merits and appoint competent and humanitarian activist with track records like Dr Halimat Adenike Tejousho considering her long humanitarian activities which brought succour to many vulnerable Nigerians, widows, IDPs and persons with disabilities through her Queen Adenike Tejousho Foundation.
