A Deaf man Mr Abdullahi Ismail Ibrahim who double as PWDs leader of APC National Youth Ambassador Northeast Zone urge President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Dismiss Suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Dr Betta Edu over the recent corruption allegations.

Mr Ibrahim reminded President Tinubu May 29th Inauguration Statement against corruption which reads,
"We must fight corruption, poverty, inconsistencies in policies, and many other problems confronting us. But don't pity me—I will live up to expectations."

—President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Premium Times, 29th May, 2023.

He however commend President Tinubu for signing of the African Union Charter on Human and People's Rights, focusing on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Africa

"This commitment, signed and sealed in Abuja on 19th October, 2023, demonstrates your dedication to ensuring the complete and equal exercise of human and people's rights for individuals with disabilities, particularly in Nigeria and across Africa"

"However, I must bring to your attention the need for decisive action to combat corruption and uphold the integrity of your administration. During the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo, Transparency International ranked Nigeria as the second most corrupt country in the world, largely due to ineffective anti-corruption measures. We cannot allow such a reputation to persist"

Your Excellency, I commend your commitment to the "Renewed Hope Agenda" and your promise to fight corruption and lead Nigeria towards a prosperous future. It is in this spirit that I urge you to take bold steps to dismiss the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu. Her alleged involvement in corruption, along with her co-conspirator, Hajia Halima Shehu, has had significant negative impacts on the nation. These scandals have caused suffering to the masses and hindered the efficient operation of humanitarian services. NPOWER beneficiaries have not received their stipends, small-scale business owners have struggled, and farmers have found it difficult to expand their operations. This corruption has further weakened Nigeria's economy"

Mr President, it is crucial to demonstrate to the world that your administration does not tolerate corruption or "sacred cows." By dismissing corrupt leaders and appointing individuals with integrity, you can pave the way for the growth and development of our country.

"I also urge you to consider appointing a Minister who understands and advocates for people with disabilities, widow, and vulnerable individuals. We need a leader who will work for both the able-bodied and those with disabilities, ensuring equal opportunities for all Nigerians" Abdullahi concluded.

"May God continue to bless your administration with wisdom and success. Thank you for your dedication to our nation"

Thank you, Mr President!
