Inaugurate Disability Funds Advisory Committee

Following series of Advocacies by the Joint National Association of persons with Disabilities JONAPWD,Jigawa state Branch, for the implementation of the state Disability Law, the government of Jigawa state has offered a permanent and pensionable employment to 17 NCE holders who are persons with disabilities (PWDs) to teach in primary and junior secondary schools across the state with effect of May, 2024
The development was early announced by Hon Adamu Shaaibu , JONAPWD Chairman Jigawa state.
"Similarly , the state Disability Fund Advisory Committee has been inaugurated by SSG Jigawa state in which the leadership of JONAPWD is represented in the committee to see the implementation of the fund launched in December, 2021 inline with section 17 of the state Disability Law" Shuaibu added.
Our correspondent confirmed this development in a chat with the Secretary General of Jigawa State Association of the Deaf Mr Musa Abbas who said "Of course I am aware of everything said by our Jonapwd is true as some of my members are also among the beneficiaries.
Abbas further commend the Jigawa state government for the kind gesture and inclusivity.
