Disabled Leaders from Gombe North had on Saturday 6th November 2021 declared their support to Dr Bala Bello Tinka popularly known as BBT as their preferred candidate for the position of Senator representing Gombe North Senatorial District.
This is declaration was made during the meeting of their leaders and the aide of the candidate which was attended by many Disabled cluster leaders including the Secretary General of Gombe State Deaf Association, the Chairman of Kwami state Association of the Deaf, The Leader of the blinds and physically challenged among others.
After the opening prayer led by Gambo Ahmad the blind leader and self introduction, Yusuf Muhammad the leader of the group and Secretary of Deaf Association continued with briefing the attendees on the purpose of the meeting.
According to him, the meeting was called in order to draw the attention of people with disabilities to unite themselves and embark upon the politics so that they will contribute their quota. In addition, he also notified the members that Dr Bala Bello will undoubtedly contest the seat of senatorship and hence there is need to contribute our quota to ensure his success believing that he's the right man for the job that can carry people living with Disabilities along in his policies, programmes appointment etc which they had been routinely denied for many years.
The attendees appointed Muhammad Yusuf as chairman of the union, Ibrahim Abubakar as the Secretary and Buba Musa as PRO. During the meeting, the Director Media and Publicity to Dr Bala Bello Tinka Muhammad Abubakar with company of Safiyanu Sufi in his remark, thanked the organizers of the meeting, asked them to unite themselves and elect Dr Bala Bello because of his generosity, magnanimity, softheartedness and good qualities which are as clear as water.
Mr Abubakar assured the attendees that Dr Bala Bello is following all that is happening in the group and is with the people with disabilities always assuring them that his Boss will undoubtedly carry people with Disabilities along because he doesn't believe in any form of discrimination, prejudice or segregation.
